Description: Basic concepts of good design such as form, function, balance and symmetry are illustrated. Particular attention is paid to:

• Common design errors that can lead to future maintenance problems


• Selection of plant material suitable for inland Southern California to create a beautiful garden with minimal homeowner maintenance
