AUDITIONS for 2 Plays:
MaryLu Clayton Rosenthal
NEW PLAY FESTIVAL by UCR MFA Playwrights            
An exciting festival of full-length plays by students in the UCR MFA Playwriting Program—a different work is presented at each performance in rotating repertory.   

OPEN TO ALL UCR STUDENTS, REGARDLESS OF MAJOR
Cast members must enroll in THEA 170.

Requirements:  2 contemporary monologues: 60 seconds each - one comedy, one dramatic
Monologues:  March 12 & 13, Tuesday & Wednesday, 6:30 - 9:30 pm
Callbacks:  March 14, Thursday
First Reads: March 15, Friday  
Rehearsal Begins: April 1, Monday
Production Runs: May 9-11 & 16-18, Thursday - Saturday
Clothing: Simple, professional, Flat or low-heeled shoes; Hair away from face

Play 1:
THE HYSTERICALS by Kristopher Ide
When a pack of Goddess worshippers descends upon the conservative town of Midland, a young woman discovers an empowering, new, sexual identity despite her religious father’s attempts to prevent it.
   Anyone with music training and/or modern dance training is encouraged to audition.
   Male: 5
   Female: 2
   Hystericals: 5 – 8, mix of male and female


Play 2:
WE WERE HERE by Rachell Campbell
Women during World War II fight for sanity, peace and friendship in the solace of a good job.
   Male: 1, pre-recorded voice
   Female: 4

Parking: $5 permits available at the University Kiosk
