Description:

Explore the context of rock art within the cultural landscape and learn basic concepts of site visitation etiquette, photography and recording techniques. Conservation and preservation awareness issues are a focus of both classroom and on-site discussions.


Includes parking.


Instructor: Steven M. Freers, M.S., researcher and advocate for the preservation and recording of Native American rock art sites. Freers has served as the publication chairperson for the American Rock Art Research Association (ARARA) and was the editor in chief of American Indian Rock Art (AIRA).
