Description:

T'ai Chi Ch'uan (Taijiquan) is a Chinese martial art and system of low-intensity exercise sometimes referred to as moving meditation. Total relaxation, breathing and proper movement are used to bring the mind and body into harmony.  This class introduces the first Yang-style form, foundation exercises, stretching, basic techniques, Ch'i Kung (Qigong) and traditional exercises.  The emphasis for this class is learning basic techniques, the form and relaxation training.  Stress reduction techniques and Chinese Yoga (ch'i kung) floor exercises are also covered.
