Michael Montoya is the author of Making the Mexican Diabetic: Race, Science, and the Genetics of Inequality (University of California Press, 2011). He is professor of Anthropology, Chicanx/Latinx Studies, Public Health and Nursing Science at the University of California, Irvine.


The STS Methods series tracks methods by which we surface and elucidate sociotechnical objects, systems, networks, infrastructures, and things.
