New Site-Specific Dances by UCR Choreography Students
Luis Lara Malvacías, Artistic Director

Dancers include: Nikia Altidor, Samuel Briseno, Lili Campos, Selina Cheng, Richard Clark, Indra Corcuera, Candice Degraft-Ackun, William Feldon, Melissa Fernandez, Ingrid Hernandez, Rebekah Johnson, Rebecca Jones, Mykhail Lazo, Kimberly Leu, Nelson Matti, Jordan Patterson, Cecilia Pham, Akili Pouldre, Stephanie Retane, Joel Reyes, Ran Tan, Imani Taylor, Haiviet Tran, and Eli Varela.

Students from Composition 114B spring forward with dancing that explores the intimacy of space, by bringing new light to our everyday surroundings. This end-of-quarter sharing of work and process takes place at night in multiple locations around campus. By inviting the audience to take a walk and see performances in unexpected settings, it encourages the rediscovering of environments that we take for granted because of our rushed everyday life.

Two intimate, site-specific performances are offered each night:

May 31 & June 1, 2017
Wednesday: 9:00 pm & 9:45 pm
Thursday:  9:00 pm & 9:45 pm
The audience will meet outside the Large Dance Studio, ARTS 100.

Free and open to the campus.
Audiences are limited to 40 per performance.
