David B. Kriser Professor of Anthropology
Director of Graduate Program in Culture and Media

This is the third of three public events organized by core members of the “Off Centers: Queer Racial Dis/Orientations” working group supported by the CIS during the 2016-2017 academic year. Focusing on the production of new interdisciplinary research by junior and newly tenured faculty members at UC Riverside—Stephen Hong Sohn (Associate Professor, English), Donatella Galella (Assistant Professor, Theatre, Film, and Digital Production), Crystal Mun-hye Baik (Assistant Professor, Ethnic Studies), and Liz Przybylski (Assistant Professor, Ethnomusicology)—these public dialogues provide junior faculty members with the opportunity to share and discuss their emerging work with an invited senior scholar. In a general sense, all work included in the “Off Centers” Public Workshop series bridges disciplinary difference through the ordering rubrics and urgent discourses of queerness, sexuality, race, diaspora and space/mobility.

Free and open to the public.
