UCR Orchestra and UCR Concert Band
Ruth Charloff and Samuel Andress, conductors

All are invited to enjoy a lively program shared by the UCR Orchestra and Concert Band in UC Riverside’s University Theatre.

The UCR Orchestra performs the witty Allegro from Haydn’s Symphony No. 100 (‘Military’), Balakirev’s tuneful Overture on Three Russian Themes, and a Romantic masterwork by the youthful genius Felix Mendelssohn, the luminous Hebrides Overture.  Ruth Charloff conducts.

The UCR Concert Band, conducted by Sam Andress, presents an eclectic mix of wind band music, new and old, featuring both arrangements and original works of Georges Bizet, Thomas Doss, Karl L. King, Sergei Prokofiev, and Clifton Taylor.
