Winter Tuesday Talk Schedule:


(1/16/2018): Let’s Talk About Body Image 


Description: This supportive discussion is for LGBTQ people on how we engage with our own thoughts and feelings about our body, explore concepts about body image and how media influences our self-image. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


 (1/23/2018): My Sexuality Isn’t Consent


Description: This supportive discussion is for LGBTQ people and their allies to explore the intersection of sexual orientation and consent, including how consent is negotiated within and outside the LGBTQ community. We will have special guests from the CARE Office to help lead this important discussion. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


 (1/30/2018): Ace & Arrow Talk 


Description: This supportive discussion is recommended for self-identified asexual & aromantic people and their allies to explore the complexities and marginalization of these identities, and how they intersect with the rest of the LGBT spectrum. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


(2/6/2018): QPOC Talk 


Description: The QPOC Tuesday Talks Discussion Group is recommended for self-identified people of color to explore multiple identities and the intersections of race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


(2/13/2018): Disability Justice


Description: This supportive discussion is for LGBTQ people and their allies to learn more about the disability rights movement and how it intersects with the queer social justice movement. Students can share frustrations with accessibility, mental health access, using medication or not, employment equity, education access and more. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


(2/20/2018): BDSM on a Budget


Description: All are welcome to have an open and frank discussion of the erotic practices involving Bondage, Discipline, Dominance, Submission and Sadomasochism. Students can share resources, experiences, how to get started, and how to do it safely and with consent. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


(2/27/2018): Agender Talk 


Description: This supportive discussion is for students and their allies to talk about the specific identity of Agender, also known as gender-free or being without a gender. How does this identity differ from the transgender umbrella? What are the unique challenges of this identity? Come and explore these questions and more together. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


(3/6/2018): The Queer Cosmos


Description: All are welcome to have a fun and light discussion about queer horoscopes, astrological compatibility, and how your sign affects your queerness. *This meeting is not open to students attending events for class credit.


(3/13/2018): Let’s Talk about Sex! 


Description: Students of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome to join us for a frank discussion about sex and sexuality. **This is the only Tuesday Talk session that is open to students attending for class credit.
