Hosted by the Department for the Study of Religion, this two-part event features internationally acclaimed martial artist, educator, and healer Sifu Vik Hothi (UK). A global champion and Hall of Fame inductee, Sifu Vik blends decades of experience in martial arts, traditional medicine, and trauma-informed movement to offer a powerful exploration of resilience, embodiment, and inner strength. The morning lecture (11am-12pm INTN 2043) reflects on the warrior-scholar path as a model for grounded, courageous living in today’s world. In the afternoon (2.30-4pm INTN 3023), a practical workshop invites participants to step away from their screens and into their bodies—using mindful movement, breathwork, and posture to relieve tension, enhance focus, and restore vitality.
The workshop is open to all UCR students, faculty and staff.
