The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is excited to announce the return of UCR's Making Excellence Inclusive (MEI) Certificate Program: Cultivating a Community of Respect, a foundational part of the Chancellor’s Diversity Education Program which participants spend Eight-Months learning about the complexities of UCR’s diversity challenges; program participants will research, analyze and apply their new knowledge to actual situations in the UCR work environment and develop capstone projects designed for immediate or near-term implementation.
The program is developed around the belief that individuals learn most effectively when they discover, understand, and apply their new knowledge to the real world situations they face in the university environment.
Eligible participants must have:
•Completed their probationary period.
•Endorsement for participation from their department. Please be sure that you and your supervisor are willing to make the necessary commitment for successful completion of the program.
FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED FOR EACH COURSE.
