Edgar Gomez is a Florida-born writer with roots in Nicaragua and Puerto Rico. A graduate of University of California, Riverside’s MFA program, his writing has appeared in POPSUGAR, Narratively, Longreads, Catapult, Ploughshares, The Rumpus, Lamda Literary, and elsewhere online and in print. His first book, a memoir titled High-Risk Homosexual, was named a best LGBT book of the year by Harper’s Bazaar.

Daniel A. Olivas is a playwright, editor of two anthologies, and the author of ten books including, most recently, How to Date a Flying Mexican: New and Collected Stories (2022), The King of Lighting Fixtures: Stories (2017), and Crossing the Border: Collected Poems (2017). He has written on literature and culture for the New York Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, Stanford Magazine, Huffington Post, and La Bloga. By day, Olivas is an attorney.

Steve Erickson is the author of ten novels: Days Between Stations, Rubicon Beach, Tours of the Black Clock, Arc d'X, Amnesiascope, The Sea Came in at Midnight, Our Ecstatic Days, Zeroville, These Dreams of You and Shadowbahn. He also has written two books about American politics and popular culture, Leap Year and American Nomad. Numerous editions have been published in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Greek, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. Over the years he has written for Esquire, Rolling Stone, Smithsonian, Conjunctions, Salon, the L.A. Weekly, the New York Times Magazine and other publications and journals, and his work has been widely anthologized. For twelve years he was editor and co-founder of the national literary journal Black Clock. Currently he is the film/television critic for Los Angeles magazine and a Distinguished Professor at the University of California, Riverside. He has received the American Academy of Arts and Letters award in literature, a fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, the Lannan Lifetime Achievement Award, a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, and twice has been nominated for the National Magazine Award for criticism and commentary. In July 2021 the University Press of Mississippi published Conversations With Steve Erickson as part of a series that has included F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, Eugene O'Neill, Ralph Ellison, Flannery O'Connor, William S. Burroughs, Jorge Luis Borges, James Baldwin, Gabriel García Márquez, Philip Roth and Toni Morrison.
