About this Event
Pronouns matter. A lot. But talking about them and helping cisgender people use the correct pronouns and understand why they are important can be challenging. In this workshop, Alexis Ungerer, PhD will guide transgender people through difficult conversations, especially when cisgender people are reluctant to change. Cisgender attendees will learn how to be allies who champion transgender people when those around them do not use correct pronouns for their transgender friends. In addition, the pronoun “they/them” will be explained as singular and grammatically correct. The workshop will close with questions presented by attendees being answered. This event is supported by the Highlander Empowerment Referendum.
