A.L.I.V.E. Active Shooter Survival Training follows the acronym A.L.I.V.E., representing the key steps individuals can take when faced with such a harrowing event:

• Assess: Stop and assess the situation to determine the best course of action.
• Leave: Escape to a safe area if possible, and help others do the same.
• Impede: Take actions to impede the attacker's progress and ability to harm.
• Violence: As a last resort, use violence to defend yourself and others.
• Expose: Carefully evaluate and expose your position when you believe the threat has subsided.

• Understanding the assailant's mindset and motives.
• Identifying warning signs and preventing potential events.
• Developing a security and survival mindset.
