Directed by Ashley Hunt, the film And Water Brings Tomorrow explores political grief and change by highlighting community efforts to close prisons and showcasing closed sites in the US. Hunt has over twenty years of experience within the abolitionist movement, collaborating with Critical Resistance and documenting their work with CURB for prison closures and decarceration. Following this event will be a roundtable with featured local activists and scholars.

This screening is supported by UC Riverside’s College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Science (CHASS) Dean’s Office and the Center for Ideas and Society. Additional support is provided by Department of Anthropology at UC Riverside.
