Join the 45th Writers Week for a virtual reading from the memoir Antiman and poetry collection Cultish with writer Rajiv Mohabir, followed by a Q&A.

Antiman is a stunning hybrid memoir that blends literary genres to tackle questions of caste, ethnicity, and sexuality, and to explore the author’s experiences as an Indo-Guyanese queer poet and immigrant to the United States.

Library Journal says the poetry collection Cultish “lyrically confronts history, homophobia, desire, tradition, colonialism, and place, grappling with identity on varied levels.”

Rajiv Mohabir is an Indo-Caribbean American poet and finalist for the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Poetry. In 2019, Mohabir received the New Immigrant Writing Award from Restless Books for his memoir Antiman. 2021 saw the release of Mohabir’s poetry collection Cutlish (Four Way Books, 2021).
