About this Event
Are you interested to run a summer UCR faculty-led education abroad program? This information session is one in a series to introduce you to the UCR FLEAP process, as well as, introduce you to experienced third-party providers (TPP).
In this session, you will hear from one of them: Academic Programs International (API, https://apiabroad.com). "... founded in 1997 by our founding mamas, who were dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable study abroad programs for U.S. students. Their diverse experiences abroad, first as students and later as professionals, shaped their philosophy on the value of international education as a means of promoting intellectual curiosity, cultural sensitivity and holistic personal development."
"We believe that extensive pre-departure preparation, coupled with strong support services on-site, facilitates academic, cultural and linguistic learning. Within the supportive environment of the API programs, API participants are encouraged to explore their host communities and become increasingly independent and confident in their own abilities. We strive to make international educational experiences accessible to as many participants as possible, and, as such, works to provide multiple program components at a low program cost."
"API has expanded to offer a full portfolio of experiential learning options designed to accelerate career growth, including international and domestic study and internship programs, standard and custom study abroad programs, an expansive virtual offering, and high school and gap year programs. We serve thousands of participants annually, sending them to nearly 50 cities in 22 countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and the South Pacific." Join us!
