Nooners have been a standing tradition at UCR for over 30 years. They have even been around long before the emergence of ASPB. Nooners are small one hour concerts that take place at the heart and center of campus every Wednesday during the busiest time of the day, 12:00 PM. Nooners allows talent, both local and far, a chance to showcase their music and increase their fanbase. They also allow students a chance to discover new artists, enjoy a relaxing midday break, and interact with their fellow highlanders. Nooners also give us a chance to work with our many diverse student organizations on campus. Our Nooner concert series take place during the Fall quarter as well as the Spring quarter every year at the Bell Tower. Nooners serves as a humbling reminder that we all have to start somewhere, as we even have had artists such as One Republic and Young the Giant perform way before their music careers took off.
