Astronomy Night is our flagship Astronomy event for teens aged 11-15 and instructed by the UCR Astronomy Outreach Team, which consists of Dr. Xinnan Du and graduate students Garett Lopez, Evan Oculam, Rudy Garcia, Bayu Wilson, and Franco Iglesias. Astronomy Night explores science and laws of nature, with lessons developed to emphasize the use of mathematics and physics. The teens interact with experts in the field and get to experience cutting-edge technology. For the April session, a joint event will be presented by the UCR and Astronomy Team and Purdue Astronomy Team. Students will learn about how to search for planets outside of our own Solar System through hands-on simulations.
