Bachata is a romantic, playful style of latin music and dance that originated in the Dominican Republic and has since evolved and spread across the world. In this beginner class, you will learn the fundamentals of bachata dancing, including basic movements, timing, and cultural context. Whether you're an absolute beginner, or looking to strengthen your foundation, by the end of this class, you will be able to feel bachata music and have the skills to confidently step onto the dance floor ready to begin your social dance journey! No prior experience or partner necessary, just bring comfortable clothing and shoes. Sign up online or at the SRC front counter.
Wear loose comfortable clothing.
