WRITERS RESIST: Louder Together for Free Expression
CALL FOR READERS

Open to UCR undergraduates, graduate students, faculty writers, alumni, Inland Empire writers and artists. We welcome you to share creative work AND/OR excerpts of academic work which explore your relationship with resistance.

DEADLINE: Wednesday, May 8, 2019

Please submit your intent to read and your genre, major, &/or affiliation to UCR/IE as well as a one sentence statement of what you are currently resisting in either your creative/ academic work or in the everyday to ucrwritersresist@gmail.com.

WRITERS RESIST will return Wednesday, May 15th, 2019 5:00 – 7:00 pm in INTS 1111
Free and open to the campus

Please come support the Riverside writing community as we resist attacks on principles of freedom and justice in our community.

Hear UCR undergraduates, graduate students, faculty writers, alumni, and community members read works of resistance as part of the Writers Resist movement across the nation. This is a major literary protest and show of strength that began just before the January 2017 Presidential inauguration to signal that all eyes, ears and pens are trained on Washington.

Please spread the word.
