XCITE is pleased to offer an in-person and remote training workshop series on Canvas, UCR’s new LMS. There are three sessions offered over the first two weeks of September. 

Every session is followed by an optional three hours of open time with XCITE staff, available to assist in building your course for Fall. Please be sure to bring your laptop if you want to participate in this valuable extra experience.

Workshops taught at three skill levels. Each one is offered twice between Sep. 6 - Sep.16. Feel free to register for as many as you need to be ready for Fall.

Workshop Topics:

"Canvas Basics” Learn about the Canvas menus, announcements, modules, or how to set up Pages. Register for Tuesday, 9/6/22 or Tuesday, 9/13/22, 1:00 - 2:00 pm, XCITE Commons.

“Canvas Beyond Basics!” - Familiar with Canvas, and want to learn more?  Topics covered include using discussion boards, quizzes (Classic vs New), SpeedGrader, assignment accommodations, advanced module settings, copying course content, groups and group assignments. Register for Thursday, 9/8/22 or Thursday, 9/15/22,1:00 - 2:00 pm, XCITE Commons.

"Canvas Deep Dive!” - Want to learn more about Canvas advanced features and tools?  This final workshop covers using Google integrations, peer review, integrations such as Turn It In, Poll Everywhere, Piazza, and more. Register for Friday, 9/9/22 or Friday, 9/16/22, 1:00 - 2:00 pm, XCITE Commons.
