 ttening his seminar titled" Design and Fabrication of Microcapsules and th
 e Path Towards Scale-Up and Commericalization at LLNL".  \n\n \n\nBiograph
 y: Congwang (CW) Ye is a Staff Engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Lab
 oratory (LLNL)\, specializing in microfluidics and microencapsulation. He 
 earned his Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Z
 hejiang University in China\, followed by his Master’s and Ph.D. degrees
  from Purdue University. After completing his doctoral studies\, he joined
  LLNL as a postdoctoral fellow and later became a staff member in the Mate
 rials Engineering Division.\n\nCW’s research focuses on the development 
 of micro-particles and capsules using microfluidics and advanced manufactu
 ring techniques for a wide range of applications. These include sorbents f
 or CO2 capture and utilization\, catalyst protection particles\, enzyme im
 mobilization media\, vaccine development\, sacrificial fillers\, flexible 
 display materials\, and energy materials for laser systems. He’s won mul
 tiple grants and awards including the 2025 R&D 100 awards.\n\nIn addition 
 to his technical expertise\, CW is actively involved in technology transfe
 r initiatives. He leads commercialization efforts for carbon capture techn
 ologies and capsule scale-up production at LLNL\, supported by funding fro
 m the Department of Energy\, LLNL\, and private sector partners.
