A Celebration of Women in Medicine and Science will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at the SOM Education II Building. The event will include a keynote address from legendary researcher Shirley Malcom, PhD as well as a forum with SOM faculty, students and staff discussing the contributions of women in medicine and science and the wonderful allies that support them. 

We encourage any person that is directly involved in medicine and science, supports women in medicine and science, or just wants to learn more. Everyone is welcome regardless of gender and encouraged to attend!

The events are part of our celebration of the American Medical Association's Women in Medicine Month, in which we recognize and honor women's advancements in the field of medicine. 

A Celebration of Women in Medicine & Science is co-hosted by the UCR School of Medicine Office of Faculty Development and the Office of Strategic Initiatives and is open to the public. There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
