About this Event
Join first-year Master of Public Policy candidate, Creiselda Terpoorten, for this installment of the UCR School of Public Policy's Student Spotlight Series.
Creiselda will be focusing on the collateral consequences the reentry population experiences but will empathize with housing and employment. As a community advocate, she champions for inclusive opportunities. As a Case Manager, it is her responsibility to share her work experience with institutional barriers and to also raise up her clients' personal barriers. And, as a Peer Support Specialist she wants to create public policies that will foster a holistic and organic approach such as Housing First programs. Creiselda looks forward to educating the community about the current struggles and why so many feel the system is created to work against their reentry into society.
