Please join us for a closing discussion of Brandon LattuEmpirical, Textual, Contextual with exhibition artist and curator, Brandon Lattu and Charlotte Cotton.

Situated within the broad and mercurial image environment in which we create and consume, this sensorial and cerebral exhibition examines Lattu’s twenty-five-year artistic practice working in photography, sculpture, and video.

Brandon Lattu is an artist whose work utilizes photography, sculpture, and video to investigate the constantly changing state of representation in order to push beyond the conventional empiricism that pictures of the world have traditionally invoked. His work is in numerous public collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Charlotte Cotton is an independent curator and writer specialized in contemporary photography. She has held leadership positions in several museums including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum. She is the author of several books including The Photograph as Contemporary Art, Thames & Hudson (2014), and Public, Private, Secret: On Photography and the Configuration of Self, Aperture (2018).
