SDSU's Center for Comics Studies and UCR's Eaton Collection of Science Fiction and Fantas are major research centers for comics and graphic novels: from Marvel to Image Comics, the illustrated adaptations of John Jennings to the innovative work of Somos Arte, LLC, and many others.

This hour-long virtual presentation and discussion will showcase some of the exciting new directions comics curation - and scholarship - is taking at UCR and SDSU, with a special focus on Afrofuturist, Latinx and Indigenous comics and creators.
