All around the country, confrontations between white nationalists and antifa protestors have turned violent. The march in Charlottesville, which involved hundreds of protestors and counter-protestors, ended with a death. The fights in New York City involved only a few dozen "Proud Boys" and antifa, but the beatings were severe. Protestors on all sides go to the demonstrations knowing that violence is possible and even probable. What can the police do? What should the police do?
