Join CARE in wearing Denim on Wednesday, April 26 as a symbolic gesture of solidarity against sexual violence.

In 1998, an Italian court overturned a rape conviction because the justices felt the "tight jeans" the woman wore during the attack were too difficult for the perpetrator to take off without her help--implying consent.

The next day, women in the Italian Parliament wore jeans in protest.

20+ years later, the world will wear jeans on Denim Day in solidarity and to protest the dangerous and harmful rape myths that still exist today.

Stop by the South Bell Tower Lawn to see our Denim Day Display and learn more about how to get involved with the CARE Office.
