Regularity results for the equation U11U22 = 1
The equation u_11 u_22 = 1 is a concave fully nonlinear elliptic PDE that can be viewed as an interpolation between the Laplace and real Monge-Ampere equations. It shares several features with the complex Monge-Ampere equation, including non-convexity of solutions, and invariance both under certain affine transformations and the addition of certain quadratics. We will discuss some regularity results for this equation and its higher-dimensional analogue. This is joint work with O. Savin.
