About this Event
View map Free EventGradQuant Digital Humanities Program welcomes Dr. Miriam Posner from University of California, Los Angeles as our guest speaker in Winter 2019.
Dr. Posner is an assistant professor in the Information Studies department at UCLA. As a digital humanist, she considers herself a generalist, and her interests range widely, from mapping to network analysis. But she has a particular interest in thinking about and working with data from cultural institutions. A media scholar who’s interested in science and technology, she’s finishing up a book, Depth Perception and working on a new project related to supply-chain capitalism.
The title and description of Dr. Posner’s talk will be available soon. All UCR faculty, undergraduate & graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and staff are invited to meet Dr. Posner and listen to her talk!
