Deeply influenced by Latin American culture\, she possesses a unique compositional voice that encomp asses a wide range of styles\, from instrumental music to experimental com positions featuring electronics and conceptual work. Her creations fuse tr aditional Latin American sounds with elements of world music\, contemporar y styles\, and jazz.\n\n \n\nEmilia's performances span diverse musical ge nres\, reflecting her passion for versatility and cultural diversity. In a ddition to her artistic endeavors\, she prioritizes education and cultural production. Emilia has conducted numerous workshops in diverse locations\ , enhancing her contributions to the field. The focus of her workshops inc ludes research topics such as Marimbas from the Pacific South\, Cumbia: Sc enarios\, Territories\, and New Sounds\, Latin American Digital Music: rhi zomatic identities and post-geographical territories\, and Decolonial Refl ections.\n\n \n\nEmilia holds an undergraduate degree in percussion from U NESP in São Paulo\, along with both a Master’s and Doctoral degree from the California Institute of the Arts.
