R’Courses are 1-unit student-initiated courses designed by undergraduates taken by other undergraduates and are based on the idea of Democratic Education; creating a community of equals, upholding values such as social justice, respect, and active and engaging participation.

R’Courses support students’ efforts to develop leadership skills, to innovate the undergraduate curriculum, and to promote democratic, experiential education on campus. Students from any undergraduate degree program at UCR are invited to design and lead their own original courses.

Join our information session where we walk you through the process of designing and teaching your own unique course. The process is easier than you think, and teaching a course on a topic you are passionate about makes it fun! Some of the most popular R'Courses we've had have been designed and taught by students interested in the Health Professions. Make your health professions applications that much stronger by having participated in such a unique and powerful program.
