Introduction to QGIS

An overview of a free, open source desktop GIS for mapping and analysis.

QGIS is a free and open source geographic information system. It allows users to create, edit, visualize, analyze and publish geospatial information on Windows, macOS, Linux, Unix, and Android.

This workshop will introduce some of the basic mapping functions available in QGIS. Workshop participants are advised to have some understanding of what a GIS does; beginners might want to view the one-hour GIS Basics workshop beforehand: https://youtu.be/1pfTiQIt1Rg.
