Judo, Beginning
September 27 - December 1
Monday, Wednesday, 7pm - 8pm

This introductory course in Kodokan Judo teaches several basic throws, pins, arm bars, chokes and how to fall properly to protect against injury.  Free practice (randori) includes standing techniques and mat work.  Judo etiquette and respectful behavior is required during class.  If all technical and attendance requirements are met, students may test for yellow belt at the end of the quarter.

Judo, Advanced
September 27 - December 1
Monday, Wednesday, 7pm - 9:30pm

MPR D
Approval is required.  This is intermediate and advanced training in Kodokan Judo.  Judo Gi is required.  This class focuses on Tachi Waza (standing techniques) and Ne Waza (ground techniques).  Kata will alos be taught and practiced on a selection basis.  Competition is recommended but not required, as it is a crucial method for testing and improving judo skills.  This class is combined with beginning class at 7pm (optional not required).
