The UCR Library STEM Team is excited to introduce office hours for spring quarter 2025, designed for faculty and graduate students in STEM fields. 

The LibSTEMTeam consists of the UCR Library Science Librarians. We hold monthly office hours on the second Wednesday of the month from 12-1:30pm in Orbach 122. Our topics rotate, or come by to ask any library related question. See you there!

May 14: What can digital scholarship do for you
The UCR Library Digital Scholarship Service supports researchers and students in integrating digital tools, methods, and technologies into their research, teaching, learning, and publishing. We help you explore how your existing interests or projects could be transformed into digital scholarship that is interdisciplinary, interactive, community-driven, and technology-enhanced.

We help researchers and students explore and interpret research in innovative ways through textual encoding and analysis, data analysis and visualization, network analysis, storytelling, and creative coding. We also offer support in digital media production, in collaboration with the 3DXP Lab, to enhance research communication and engagement. Additionally, our services help you discover existing open data sources and create datasets with web scraping and archiving.  

June 11: What citation management can do for you
The UCR Library holds workshops in how to choose citation managers as well as workshops on how to use Zotero, EndNote, and other citation management organizers. Have you chosen which citation management tool you want to use for your research projects? Have you decided how to bring your research collaborators in to your work? Do you need help connecting your citation management tools to your Google Drive? Stop by if you’d like some help with these and other questions during our June office hour.
