Join us for a hybrid UCR student-led panel on living and studying abroad! Learning abroad is a very exciting time for university students. It may also be nerve-wracking trying to figure out where to live abroad. Thankfully, housing is included in many programs, and resources are available to assist students in this process. Housing options vary tremendously by program and may range from homestays to on-campus dormitories to hotels and hostels to off-campus private apartments. In this panel event, you will hear from UCR students who have lived and studied abroad.  Panelist will review their housing experiences, the benefits of each housing type, and how they navigated homesickness and intercultural encounters.

FYI: This is a HYBRID event offering an in-person session in HMNSS 1500 with a maximum capacity of 40 students. It will also be hosted virtually via Zoom. Please be sure you RSVP for the correct session on MyUCR Abroad under the "Events" tab.

Reservation deadline for attendance to receive a meal is November 22, 2021. Reservation after November 22nd, you are not guaranteed to receive a meal. RSVP on MyUCR Abroad under the "Events" tab.

Sponsored by Professor Heidi Brevik-Zender of the UCR Comparative Literature and Languages Department and the Highlander Abroad Fund (HAF).
