Loren Kasey Waters- Waterkeepers Film Screenings and Conversations with Loren and Laurel C. Smith.
Join us for a film screening of Loren Waters' documentaries: Restoring Neske emane and Meet Me at the Creek. This will be followed by a conversation with Loren Kasey Waters and Laurel C. Smith about environmental justice from Native perspectives.
Bio:
Loren Kasey Waters is an award-winning Cherokee and Kiowa filmmaker who has worked on films and television shows such as RESERVATION DOGS, FANCY DANCE, and KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON.
Loren recently received the Native Arts and Cultures Foundation Lift Award and the Running Strong Foundation Dreamstarter Environmental Justice Award. Her short documentary "(MEET ME AT THE CREEK)" is screening at several Academy Award- qualifying fil festivals.
