UC Riverside is currently in the process of preparing a new Long Range Development Plan (LRDP). Students, staff, faculty and community members are invited to participate in the LRDP process by attending the upcoming first LRDP Campus Open Forum:
May 20, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, HUB 302.
A second open forum is expected to be scheduled for early in the Fall Quarter.
Please join us to hear an update on the LRDP effort to date, ask questions and engage with the LRDP Team on this significant campus effort!
Light refreshments will be served. Please be advised that room capacity is limited to 120 persons; arriving early is encouraged.
As a reminder, the LRDP looks broadly at campus growth options and associated environmental impacts, as required by the State of California. It is related to, but different from the recently launched Strategic Plan Update. While the LRDP helps support the strategic plan priorities by identifying areas for potential growth and helping to plan for that growth, the strategic plan focuses on UCR’s mission, vision, and values, and provides direction regarding our priorities and aspirational goals. The strategic plan drives the UCR operational and capital budget priorities, while the LRDP provides parameters for how land use can support those priorities. A strategic plan is important to guide an organization, but not required. The LRDP is required by the state.
