Make, Document, Present: Connect Creativity With Research Through Maker Events

Welcome to Maker Week! A week long celebration about all things making. Please join us for any of the workshops offered for Maker Week 2025, we hope to see you there!

Learn the basics of Java coding by creating and testing your own Minecraft mods! In this hands-on workshop, you'll write simple Java code and see your changes come to life in Minecraft. No prior coding experience is needed—just bring your creativity and curiosity. Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops, but some will be available. Open to college students, staff, and faculty, this in-person session is a fun and interactive introduction to coding through gaming!

This workshop includes a brief presentation on effective strategies for documenting and presenting your Maker Week projects, offering valuable insights applicable to all academic work.

In this workshop, you will learn how to turn art, imagery and more into buttons with the help of the CreatR Lab button makers while supplies last. All UCR community members are welcome to attend. Make sure to register with your UCR email. Participants are expected to follow and uphold UC Riverside's Principles of Community.
