Masterminds is our flagship Neuroscience event for teens aged 11-15 and instructed by the UCR Neuroscience Outreach Team which consists of Ph.D. students Erin Alderson and David Nikom. Neuroscience looks at the scientific study of the nervous system. Teens explore physiology, anatomy, molecular biology, developmental biology, cytology, mathematical modeling, psychology, neurons, and neural circuits. It sounds daunting but it is super fun and inspiring. Our Instructors place emphasis on essential skill development in our interactions with the teens.
