Many students inquire about volunteering, however many are still determining what avenues to pursue. While there are many career fairs, there has yet to be an event specializing in volunteering and community service opportunities. To address this problem ASUCR will host a volunteer and community service fair to allow students to engage with volunteer/community service organizations. By connecting local nonprofits and charities directly with students looking to gain volunteer experience, the fair aims to promote a culture of service learning and civic participation among college students in Southern California. Concurrently, volunteering allows participants to develop valuable transferable skills which can be useful in their future careers. This event is free and open to the public.
