"The Bioecological-Ecological-Economic-Political-Ethical Global Crisis of Our Time"

"This talk will depict the multi-dimensional challenges to sustainable and just global governance against the background of multiple threats to existing patterns of world order. The resulting governance crisis will be analyzed, and alternative responses will be considered as elements of ‘a politics of impossibility,’ with hope sustained by the awareness that within the last century the impossible has actually happened, surprising the experts.

Professor Falk is Albert G. Milbank Professor of International Law Emeritus at Princeton University and, from 2002, Distinguished Visiting Professor in Global and International Studies at U.C. Santa Barbara.
