Join us for the Science of Parenting: Parenting Young Children, our 9-session course on parenting children 0-5 years old.

In these sessions you will learn the most up-to-date research on parenting and early brain development.  How to develop a secure attachment.  Positive child guidance strategies and how to read, talk, and play with your child so they are ready for kindergarten.

The classes include a light meal, curriculum manual, and graduates receive a certificate of certification. The courses are led by Parent Educator Victoria Patton (M.Ed. Human Development).

SESSION 2: INTRODUCTION TO PARENTING Research findings on what children need the most from their parents. The most important of these needs is a “secure” parent-child attachment relationship. The session concludes with a discussion of how parental stress impacts parenting.
