Semana de la Mujer Exhibit: "Descansamos el cuerpo y no el alma (We rest our bodies, not our souls): Using our voices and memories to tell our stories”

Chicano Student Programs in collaboration with the UCR Library is hosting our second annual archive and collective memory exhibit for our annual Semana de la Mujer 2024 program! The exhibit will be on the first floor of the Tomás Rivera Library for the entire month of March (Women's History Month), and will highlight and honor UCR Chicana/Latina femmes and mujeres/femmes in our lives who have shaped us. In addition, we will host a reception to launch the exhibit during Semana de la Mujer. All are encouraged to attend. 

The exhibit will include photos, art, handmade tejidos, and clothing. Each piece will have a description: Who and what is the story behind this piece? The significance to you? Bilingual/trilingual submissions are welcome.

The following form is only an interest form. All submissions will be reviewed, confirmations will be sent via email. Submission DEADLINE: Friday, February 9th at 12pm.
