The Southwest Asian North African Student Conference or SWANA Con, is a gathering that centers the experiences of Southwest Asian/Middle Eastern, and North African undergraduate students across the nation. The purpose of this conference is to connect students from across the SWANA diaspora, to build leadership & academic skills, discuss unique challenges impacting their communities, while also finding ways to embrace and reinvent their cultural heritages. The conference will be on Saturday, January 17th, and Sunday, January 18th, and this year’s theme is Roots en Route. College students from different universities are invited to join this conference, so don’t miss out!

The conference costs $40 to attend for non-UCR students, and $10 for UCR students. Participants will have to coordinate their own travel and lodging. We encourage you to work with your local campuses to get funding and support to cover these expenses.
