At this event, Professors Claudia Holguín Mendoza (Hispanic Studies) and Jorge N. Leal (History) will present on interdisciplinary approaches to bilingual education.
The symposium will feature complimentary breakfast and lunch, and the keynote presentation by Dr. Rosina Lozano (Princeton University). Dr. Lozano is the author of the book “An American Language: The History of Spanish in the United States.”
The "Teach In Spanglish" symposium is funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, which supports our Spanglish and Bilingualism in Latinx Studies project.
