Prof. Nicolas Langlitz (New School for Social Research) will discuss his philosophical and anthropological work on viewpoint diversity.  Viewpoint diversity is currently associated with the idea that universities are not providing students with sufficiently varied texts on matters of political and social controversy.  Prof. Steven Brint (UCR Sociology), who has studied the origins and implementation of Indiana's "intellectual diversity" law, will serve as discussant.
