We are celebrating the artistry of this year's 2025 UCR undergraduate dance major students with original choreographic works uniquely composed.
Under the artistic direction of Patricia “Patty” Huerta, Visiting Assistant Professor, UCR is Dancing is the culminating project of undergraduate dance major students in the Department of Dance, showcasing their original dance compositions. The evening will feature dance performances that stem from their personal, cultural, and re-imagined embodied knowledge.

PARKING:
Daily parking permits can be purchased through ParkMobile for Lot 6 Blue. On weeknights from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., permits are not required when parking in Gold Lot 30.
Lot 6 Blue offers free parking on weekends, from 12:00 p.m. on Fridays until 6:00 a.m. on Monday mornings, when parking in the unreserved spaces.

ARTISTIC DIRECTOR BIO:
Patricia “Patty” Huerta, a first generation artist, cultural dance maker, and educator from Los Angeles, California amplifying and uplifting Latinx experiences and Afro-Latin Social Dance forms through community driven dance making. She received her B.A and M.F.A in Dance and Experimental Choreography from the University of California, Riverside, where she earned The Gluck Fellowship of the Arts, M.F.A. Graduate Fellowship, and UC MEXUS Grant. She has collaborated and presented work at RedCat CalArts Theater, The FORD, Our L.A Voices Grand Park Los Angeles, Oxy Arts, FLACC Festival, Mission Dance Theater, BAM Museum, Highways Performance Space, Human Resources L.A, BlakTinx Dance Festival in Arizona and L.A, and México City. Patty is a founding member of Primera Generación Dance Collective (@primerageneraciondance), and a board member of Show Box L.A (@showboxla) in Los Angeles.
