On behalf of School of Medicine Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), we are excited to announce our first UCR SOM Lunar New Year Celebration! Lunar New Year is a significant cultural holiday widely celebrated across East and Southeast Asian communities, marking a time of renewal, reflection, and gathering with loved ones.

This event is open to the public. Join us in recognizing this meaningful tradition and celebrating together as a community!

Activities will include:

• Gio Nam Mua Lan lion dancers
• Medical student fan dance performance
• Cultural crafts and hands-on activities
• Lunch will be provided
